We love this picture of our boy!!!!

This photo is taken in an underground prison in Masaya. Val served there a few months ago & he & his companion went to this prison before. They had another mission activity this past week and went to Masaya as a mission. So I guess, they went & toured this prison again. Some of the pictures are pretty cool that Val sent, but I can't post them because the language grafiti'd on the walls.

I guess this picture is for us to figure out. Big Val says it means reunion point. It looks to me like Val is waiting for a girl? hmmmmmm.

haha yeah only 6 more! im trying really hard to not be trunky though. yes i agree that conference was freaking awesome!!!!!!!! i loved every minute of every one of the 5 sessions!!!!! i hope you watched all the sessions on saturday too! cause if you not you missed out!

thats cool that you are gonna go with them again im sure they are really cool cause their sons are awesome! yeah i cannot believe that mackenzie is graduating!!!! what are you guys going to do for her?? hopefuly something cool she disserves it alot more than i did haha.

physical therapy....? haha thats new haha. umm im prettty sure ill have to get it checked out when i get home cause its still messed up. i can walk and run fine but its still inflamed hahah. well as far as me everything is going well although iam reaaaaaallllly burnt hahaha. we went and had another mission activity in masaya. so i got tons of sun haha. im gonna come black lookin like a domino. white and black. hah. but yeah il send some pics of that but other that nothing new just working hard!!!! i love you mom!

Elder Ward , Elder Galvan & Elder Ward-- Gilbert AZ Boys-- All serving in Nicaragua-- how cool is it that these boys didn't know each other before their missions- but now they will be life long friends-- and they all 3 live in the same city at home. I am glad I had the opportunity to go to lunch with their mothers- both are very sweet & amazing women! I hope to get to know better!

well this week was freeaaakiin awesome!!!!!!!!

yes i love my companion he is way awesome were working hard and having lots of fun but usually when this happens they take me out......... so lets hope i at least get one more change with him. im glad that cj was able to speak well i told her she would do good. ummm.....as far as a trip goes.... i dont know i guess it really doesnt matter we can go wherever. im just glad to tag along haha. my trip is the trip with dad when he comes here after that you guys can decide. theres a few cool spots here in nicaragua like granada and san juan del sur. we would just have to be real careful its not the safest countryin the world haha. but kenzie is brown so maybe wel get away with it hahaha.

well as far as my week it was great!!! our mission finished with 40 families baptized so prez was really happy and decided to have a mission activity in granada. im sending all the pics from that. theres pics of me with my ld mtc district, me elder ward and pace, me and e dubs, me and two other latin elders elder muzo and elder merida!!!!! and some others haha sorry i dont really have time to name them all. but yeah that was really cool and im super excited for april cause it means 3 things, more baptisms, confernce, and in may i get to call home my last time!!!!! and this conference is my last here in nicaragua....... but yeah. well i hope all is well there i love you guys!!! hey did you ever send that package??

good afternoon mother

my week was pretty great!!! it went by so fast!!!! i cant believe how fast time is going now!!! ahaha oh yeah that is me and elder muzo! hes not my comp hes a good friend though i love that kid!!! WWWWOOOOO!!!!!! kenzies face is so puffed!!!! i imagine thats how mine was hahaha.

yes dad told me that uncle lion died and it was really sad too. it kinda made me feel bad though cause here i forget about my family. i dont think about them a lot. and i mean that in the best way possible. im just focused on other things. and when i get news that someone dies it sucks even worse cause it makes me feel like way out of the loop but i know that i need to focus more here.

cj is so tall now!!!!!!! crazy huh!! i cant believe haylee is engaged!!!!!!!!!! what the heck?? what if mackenzie gets enganged before i get home?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?*!?!?!?!?! why is everyone growing up??? freak ah.

so check these pics. this was a lizard these dudes caught and our lunch cita bought it and we killed it and cooked it hahahaha and ate it. its actually like chicken exactly. it wasnt bad at all. and the other is a bowl of this fruit paste stuff they make here. but i took a pic of it cause it looks like dookie hahahahaha. its pretty good though. it has a lot of mango in it. oh yeah and my zone is kicking butt this month!!!!!! we will finish with like 8 families baptized in just our zone!!!!!!!!! things are going so good right now!!!!!! well thats pretty much it for this week sorry kinda lame but it passed so fast!!!! i love you mom!!

O.k. remember the bloody- hand photos? this thorn is what caused the bloody hand photos. I guess a couple of these went into his hands. YIKES.

Val didn't explain what this was--- but I am going to guess that because they were at the Volcano with the ZL's for their meeting, that this mural might be inside the museum or maybe their is a lobby where the tour guides meet? If there are tour guides?
I am not sure why Val sent us this photo- maybe you can figure it out?

Look how cute he is? I guess now that his companion is a ZL too- all the supplies are in their room & they have a small room-- so you can imagine-- it is probably cramped.

This is Val's new companion-- Elder Arce-- he is from Costa Rica & he has only been out 3 months. He is already a ZL which is crazy according to Val. He said he came on his mission very prepared!!!

good afternoon mother!

well yeah you know me.. never miss a photo op hahah. but this time no model pics and no pics of an accident. well this week was a good one! i got my new comp his name is elder arce from costa rica!!! my first tico. and he is a new zone leader who only has 3 months in his mission and that is like waaayy un heard of in any mission!!!! he came way prepared on his mission and he is way cool!!!!!!!! in one of the pictures he is the one with the really red tie.

you'll also see a bunch of pics at a volcano we went to for our zone leader council hahha. we had the meeting at a volcano which was really cool. our president is really happy cause our mission is doing a lot better and we could baptize 40 families this month as a mission!!!!!!

im glad that cj is doing really good in sports!!! im sure she has the same attitude as me thats why we didnt get along too well cause were exactly alike haha. but i love that girñl and miss her a lot!!! tell her and mackenzie to stop slacking and email a brotha. haha matt powell.... que bueno

alright so to explain the pictures there is one of my police record i tried to look like a thug in the picture i took to make it look more legit. theres one of me with elder ward from utah he was my comp over a year ago and he just went home. and one with elder jimenez he just went home too. theres one of me with a ton of boxes. as ZLs we have all the supplies in our house and they brought r us supplies for the whole year............ in our tiny little room..... hahaha so we have no space in there. then some pics of me with all the ZLs and my new comp at the zone leader council. ill be sending more pictures in another message. but this is whats been happening lately!!!! i love you mom i hope you have a great week!!!!

Family that came to visit Val from Batahola. They came to visit Val when he was serving in Masaya on his birthday last year. I remember he told me it was awesome that they surprised him.!!
This motorcycle belongs to a recent convert & he delivers chicken on it. I guess Val is thinking about pursuing modeling when he gets home & he is starting his portfolio before he leaves??? Just kidding-- of course he isn't going into modeling! YIKES!!

hahaha ask dad about how that happened!! im too embarrassed about it hahah i dont want to tell it twice hahaha. its not as bad as it looks just a lot of blood. but sweet on the new calling!!!! at least it will be fun right???? at least you dont have to go to a singles ward like me when i get home........ maybe i'll slip the bishop a lincoln hopefully he'll let me stay in the family ward!!!!

yeah dad told me about cjs game freak shes doing way good in sports now huh?? its gonna be fun to watch her play again. i think ill be back for basketball season so that will be fun!!!! as for kenz.. yes i took my ipod. and they numbed me but i didnt get put to sleep!!!! i was awake the whole time. and if you get put to sleep why do you need the ipod?? hahahaha. well im glad you got the box i was starting to worry that you didnt get it!!!! and thanks for delivering the letters. although i don't like that picture of me but i appreciate you doing that!!! your awesome mom!!! well not much new around here. i get a new comp on wednesday cause mine is going home this week he finished his mission. kinda trunky but its all good!!

Good afternoon mother!!!

this weekend was awesome!!!!!! our zone dropped a bomb!!!!! we went form being the worst zone in the mission to being the best zone in the mission in 6 weeks!!!!!! next month should be better!!!!!!!! we had some baptisms fall in our area but we still ended up baptizing. i'll explain it in the voice recording and i'll send some pictures.

hey i say in the recording that i haven't gotten the mcbeths box but i just got it today in the morning after i made the recording!! it was a great package! i'll be sure to send them something really soon.

it sounds like stake conference went really well for you both!!! we have stake conference this week too so hopefully we can get a lot of investigators there. this week we had a special zl council with elder falabella who is a 70 and who is a complete stud! it was just us ZLs from the south mission. it was really special. alright well i say everything else in the voice recording so enjoy 'lll send some pics too!!!! i love you mom

well, this week was veeeeerrrryyy interesting in my zone. we had interviews with president which is something that happens every other change. 4 of my missionaries had emergency changes for being caballos and going to the mall without permission in pday clothes. but the good news is my zone has a huge baptism planned for this saturday like 14 people and were gonna do a zone baptism!!!! and a general authority is going to speak...we hope hahaha. oh and before the baptism we have a zl council with elder falabella who is the area 70... so i think its gonna be a huge macheti fest hahaha but im so excited for my zone cause this zone was the worst zone for the past 7 months but now we got them working hard and we should be the best zone this month and next month!!!!!!

so you have like headgeear now??? hahaha or is it just like a mouth peace?? but dang i bet dad thinks thats hot hahahaha. but at least it helps right?? yeah the new shoes are good they are just some slip ons like the rockports i had. katy pritchard..... no doesnt ring any bells. but thats cool that heath is dating her... how long has it been? is she... THE ONE??????? freak im not gonna lie i think about marriage quite a bit haha. but only 7 months till i have to worry about that. yeah i never got a box from the mcbeths....... so tell them that i havent gotten it so they dont think im a chump and havent written them back hahaha,. but yeh everything is going good so pray for the zone please!!!! i hope you have a great week i love you mom!!
